RocEthical prides itself on being a clothing brand with a difference. It's an antidote to fast fashion. We make beautiful garments that are a living blueprint for our values, people and the planet, which is central to everything we do. Our garments are made with sustainable materials, using traditional skills that support rural communities.
I was first immersed into the world of fashion when, RocEthical invited me to be part of this amazing journey. taking this project up from grass route levels.
As I closely work with UK based designer Rochelle Motha and Visit the local factories and our workers in Sri Lanka, I have first-hand experience of their efficiency and hard work put into creating these clothes, these women are simply magnificent! The ability to grasp and execute is just amazing!
It also gave me a glimpse in to their private day to day lives. How fare wages and flexible working hours, enriches them to be better individuals and provide for their families. As many of them come from very broken backgrounds we offer them a more relaxed and enjoyable work experience.
"Sustainability" wasn’t always a" fashionable" word but RocEthical endures to transform this thinking through ethical fashion, into contemporary- accessible- and desirable.
We design and produce high quality, fashionable products for women as well as collaborating with leading designer brands, by putting their waste to good use in order to produce unique collections. I guess one man's trash is another man's treasure.
While many fashion brands talk about 'corporate social responsibility' or 'ethical fashion', we go further. We try follow the principles of fair trade in every aspect of our cause.
Sustainable clothing makes a powerful difference by that RocEthical is helping to alleviate poverty as much as possible in the world's most marginalized communities.
